Artistic traditions passed through the generations come alive as over 60 Thai performers, and their stunningly beautiful costumes, bring Khōn to London.
The Khōn – or masked play – is the visually spectacular meeting point of Thai arts and culture.
Singing, dancing, acting, acrobatics and music unite on one stage as stories based on the Ramakien (the Thai version of the Ramayana Indian epic) are told with a sense of Thai grace and style.
For one night only, this spectacular performance will inhabit the legendary Royal Albert Hall in a production bursting with character – bringing together movement and music presented within an ornate aesthetic. Returning to the hall 130 years after the classical music ensemble from Siam performed for Queen Victoria, this unique evening is perfect for those who love Thai culture or are ready to be entranced and entertained by Khōn, a centuries-old artform.
