Sadler’s Wells Associate Artist Wayne McGregor’s much anticipated Tree of Codes finally comes to London following huge critical acclaim at Manchester International Festival in 2015. Taking inspiration from Jonathan Safran Foer’s book of the same name, which was physically carved out of the pages of another novel, Wayne McGregor and collaborator, award-winning musician and producer Jamie xx weave a tapestry of deconstructed form.
15 dancers, drawn from The Paris Opera Ballet and Company Wayne McGregor explore Olafur Eliasson’s visual concept, which mirrors the sculptural aspects of the book, reflecting the audience’s gaze back at them as he immerses them into his strange world.
Post show talk: Saturday 4 March. Free to same day ticket holders.
